1. Review the Unit Overview Page for each binder and plan the order for your themes. Use our suggested order or create your own!
2. Send home the "About Our Family" questionnaire that you'll find in the introduction section of each binder to make connections and learn more about the families in your program.
3. Create a calendar for conducting child assessments and parent conferences. Use the information and sample schedule in the introduction section of each binder as a guide.
4. Use our Weekly Planning Form along with the information gathered from child assessments and your own observations of children's needs to guide your activity choices for each thematic unit.
5. At the end of each unit take some time to reflect on the experience. Make a note of things that went well and/or things you'd like to try differently next time. Keep these notes in the front pocket of each theme unit binder.
